Returning to the Heart Self

An Inner Pathway To Restore The Lost Connection To Your Heart

Classes are currently available in person.

Take a moment to see in your mind’s eye the struggle of the slow, sluggish caterpillar.  Over time, the caterpillar has slowly covered much ground. It has learned how to survive by curling up, hiding, camouflaging, and blending in with its environment, as well as mimicking its surroundings to stay alive. It has survived by employing clever coping skills and protective mechanisms, even when feeling lost or directionless.

Throughout each stage of the caterpillar’s lifespan, it allows the natural order of its growth and development to occur, steered by the organic process of nature. When there is no more ground for it to cover or branches to climb, the caterpillar will begin to feel numb and overfed, and has no desire to continue walking the same ground.

The caterpillar feels that it cannot grow anymore— that something has to change. The caterpillar knows when it has reached its full potential in its current form, and does not resist stepping into the unknown.

The caterpillar initiates a process of transformation, creating a safe environment for itself using its own resilience, strength, gifts and resources. From this, it transforms into a beautiful, luminous chrysalis. The caterpillar does not resist this transformation but invites it.

It knows that it can only change from within. Throughout this phase of its transition, it is allowing its old self to fall away while simultaneously using its magical powers to transform from one form to another. Symbolically, this process represents all it has gone through, and it is using its resources as the catalyst for its transformation.

During this time, it allows this wisdom to guide it into the unknown. It is in this unknown place of incubation, rest, surrender, and letting go of what no longer aids its growth that it reclaims its full potential, the truth of its own inner power, strength, and beauty, which could not have been foreseen or thought possible had it not allowed this process of change to unfold.

At this point, it is in the dark, unconscious of the fact that it is growing its new beautiful golden butterfly wings. The caterpillar knows organically how to navigate this unknown territory. It lets go slowly of all structure and form, and when it is ready, it pushes through that tough-shelled chrysalis, emerging as the beautiful butterfly.

Similar to the caterpillar, we too can choose to move towards change and wholeness from within. We can create a soft, kind space in our mind and body, creating our own chrysalis. We can take time to allow ourselves to transition internally, to be held safely from within and with those we feel emotionally safe with.

This is a messy process where, at times, we can feel as though there is no ground beneath us. That ground is in each breath, each thought, and each action you take. We, too, have our individual ways of surviving, which were most likely learned from a young age.  We also have the ability to embrace our growth and development. Throughout our lives, we are constantly at the threshold of change and transition.

How often have you said to yourself: “I am tired of living this way, of feeling like this, of choosing these thoughts. How did I get here?”

When we begin to notice that our energy does not feel vibrant, that we feel slow and sluggish in ourselves, we are brought to the threshold of choice. We begin to notice that change from within is imminent. If we listen quietly to the messages our life is communicating to us, we may learn a little more about our choices, behaviours and perspectives.

Together, let us uncover the radiant, golden butterfly within, through the process of healing—an alchemy of true inner transformation—as we return to the Heart Self.

Who would benefit from these classes?

… if you feel stuck, lost, lacking direction, lethargic, unmotivated, and are unsure why.

… if your life seems to be stagnant, where you are repeating the same cycles, choosing the same behaviours over and over that no longer serve you.

… if you are feeling lost or empty in your life.

… if you choose to be in relationships with people who do not respect you, or if you have not learned to respect yourself.

… if you overgive, overstretch, and burn out in search of approval from others.

… if you wish to restore the lost connection to your deep inner wisdom.

… if you wish to live from your heart’s knowing and inner self-trust.

When we restore that lost connection to our Heart, we are living in the following qualities:

  • Hope

You begin to live with a sense of hope, understanding empathically through awareness the real meaning of what it means to embrace your inner power, where you feel healed, not just think you are healed.

  • Empowerment

You are able to set loving boundaries with yourself and others. You embody your “authentic power” and bring this into your daily life.

  • Awareness

You become aligned with your true nature. You understand what has happened within you to cause disconnection, and have learned, step by step, to see its impact in the outcomes of your choices, behaviours, relationships, energy, and vitality.

  • Reconnection

You begin to reconnect to your Heart Self, living from a sense of rest and restoration from within. You have restored that lost connection to your heart and are allowing it to guide your way.

  • Trust

You have now learned how to trust your internal wisdom.  You become the truth of who you really are. You connect deeply to the feeling of having a sense of wholeness and belonging from within.

This is the process of living a life no longer in survival but from the Heart’s knowing. We are tending to the connection between the mind, body, heart and soul. Each class is held in the safety, experience and awareness I have gained both personally and professionally. As I have continuously asked myself the question, “What does true healing mean to me?” I have collated this series based on the answers I have received. These classes are an integration of all I have learned psycho-therapeutically and spiritually. It is a space where we move beyond the psychotherapeutic process into the realms of the Heart.

To return to our “Heart Self”, we must first heal the wounds that rest heavy upon it. In doing so, we are opening the gateway to receive our soul’s call.

  • These classes have been designed to bring you home to yourself, where you allow the truth of your being to lead the way.

When we learn how to restore the lost connection to our heart, we are learning how to live from a place of peace. Transformation occurs in the present moment and only from within. It is in those quiet moments we have with ourselves, where we can decide to see and choose something different. These small choices we make become our life’s transitions. It is where we evolve from one way of being to another.
